Valletta Cruise Impact Tool

This application provides an intelligent, data-driven view of how daily cruise ship arrivals impact footfall and visitor activity in Valletta. By uploading the annual cruise schedule and ship-capacity data, the tool automatically estimates passenger occupancy, disembarkation rates, and the proportion of visitors likely to explore Valletta’s cultural sites, restaurants, and key pedestrian areas. The dashboard visualises these insights through a daily passenger-flow graph, detailed ship-arrival profiles, and an interactive map highlighting zones most affected by incoming visitor traffic. Designed for restaurant owners, cultural-site managers, and urban planners, the system enables better staffing, resource allocation, and operational planning based on real-time and forecasted cruise-passenger influx into Malta’s capital city.
