AI and VR for Immersive Skills Training
The WAVE project presents an educational innovation integrating Generative AI with Virtual Reality (VR) to create adaptive, immersive training environments for complex skills, demonstrated in water-rescue education. The system dynamically generates diverse, personalized, and realistic scenarios, adapting to individual performance data to foster experiential learning and critical decision-making. The paper highlights promising outcomes for situational awareness and procedural accuracy, advocating for the model's scalability as a safe, personalized alternative to traditional skills training across higher education fields like healthcare and crisis management.

Predicting Movie Success with AI
This research applies Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to movie scripts to predict future audience ratings (IMDb), offering valuable financial guidance to film producers. The methodology extracts and integrates multiple features, including linguistic characteristics, emotional arcs, script embeddings, and sentiment analysis statistics, which are then combined with cast and crew factors. Utilizing a forward rolling window training strategy, this approach provides a robust, data-driven method for sifting through and ranking script projects based on their likely box office and critical performance.
